Toady BMW unveiled the 2014 X5. They did mention its not too big of a change from the current model but they are now offering the car in 2-wheel drive. It is the first time bmw has ever offered a 2-wheel drive x5, although 4 wheel drive is optional. The 3.5 is powered by BMW’s 3.0 liter twin turbo inline 6, boasting 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft torque with an 8 speed transmission getting from 0-60 in 6.2 seconds. if that doesn’t cut it for you, you can go for the 5.0. The 5.0 is powered by BMW’s 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 which boasts 445 horsepower and 480 lb-ft torque. It shares the same 8 speed gearbox from the 3.5 and does 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. That’s really fast for an SUV. Pricing was not announced but you can expect this car by the end of this year.
