Toady BMW unveiled the 2014 X5. They did mention its not too big of a change from the current model but they are now offering the car in 2-wheel drive. It is the first time bmw has ever offered a 2-wheel drive x5, although 4 wheel drive is optional. The 3.5 is powered by BMW’s 3.0 liter twin turbo inline 6, boasting 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft torque with an 8 speed transmission getting from 0-60 in 6.2 seconds. ┬áif that doesn’t cut it for you, you can go for the 5.0. The 5.0 is powered by BMW’s 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 which boasts 445 horsepower and 480 lb-ft torque. It shares the same 8 speed gearbox from the 3.5 and does 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. That’s really fast for an SUV. Pricing was not announced but you can expect this car by the end of this year.
